Let's Go to the Movies! - YA Summer Reading Program

readFor those entering grades 6-12.

Read 1,500 pages and earn a pass to the movies. Begin reading on Monday, June 4.  You may begin reporting on Monday, June 11.  The last day to report is Monday, July 30.

Here’s how the program works:

Stop by your local library. Check out a book from the young adult or adult collection.
Take it home.  Read it.  Bring it back to the library.  Library staff will sign you up for the program and record the number of pages you have read.

When you reach 500 pages, we will have a food coupon or candy for you.  We’ll do that again when you have reached 1,000 pages.  At 1,500 pages, you will be given a movie pass.

You may go through the program twice.

All books must be checked out from the young adult or adult collection.  We won’t be counting the pages of cookbooks, encyclopedias, art books, craft books or dictionaries.
Graphic novels will be counted.
