Join us for a hearty party. We’ll have all the supplies to help you make valentines for those you love.  Ages 2 years and older. 

Spring into Spring!

Let’s join the fun and get ready for Spring with lots of games and activities. All ages.

Butterflies, Butterflies
Monday, April 16, 6-6:45 p.m.
Join Trisha from 4-H and step into the world of butterflies and learn how to explore butterflies and their habitat. Ages 5-12 years.

Mother’s Day Party
Monday, May 7, 6-6:45 p.m.
Children, parents and grandparents are invited to make this a special day with a tea party, an edible craft and a gift for mom. Ages 2 years and older.

Toddler Story Time ages 16 monhts-3 years) - Wednesdays & Thursdays, 10 a.m.

Reading Patch Club @ the Estates Branch Library
Wednesday, January 3 through Thursday, May 10

Join the club! Students in grades K through 5 who are reading on their own can earn colorful embroidered patches for reading.  Can you collect all four patches?

To earn a patch, readers can read 5 books in each category – either chosen from our Reading Patch Club lists or on their own. All books must be library books.

Patches will be awarded as they are earned.  Just bring the reading log to the Estates Branch Library when a category is completed.

The Great Family Egg Drop
Tuesday, March 13, 4-5 p.m.
We will give each family the same supplies to build a contraption for a raw egg, and then those eggs will be dropped from various heights. Will your egg survive? Grade K and older.

*Up Close with Ferrets and Skunks
Tuesday, April 17, 6-6:45 p.m.
The folks from Kowiachobee Animal Preserve are back with ferrets and skunks! Grades K and older.

Celebrate Russia
Tuesday, May 8, 4-5 p.m.
Enjoy a story about a magic Russian nesting doll, make your own set of nesting dolls, and then enjoy a Russian snack. Grades K and older.

Join Mike Mogil of Weatherworks and conduct a series of fun and amazing science experiments.  Grades 2 and higher.

*Nails and Scales
Thursday, February 23, 3:30-4:30 p.m.
Slippery, slimy, spiky and creepy creatures are important to the survival of Florida's ecosystems. Learn which reptiles are venomous and how to get involved in reptile conservation. Grades 2 through 5.

Let's Celebrate Dr. Seuss' Birthday!
Thursday, March 1, 10:30-11 a.m.
We will read Dr. Seuss’ books.  Make a craft and decorate a birthday cookie. All ages.

Clay Crafts
Thursdays, April 12 & 19, 3:30-4:30 p.m.
Come and get your hands dirty and make something beautiful!  Learn more about how to make things out of clay. Grades K and higher.

*Up Close With Animals

The Kowiachobee Animal Preserve will be here with animals and answers to your questions. Grades K and higher.

Bring your favorite bear to the clinic for a check-up with Dr. Goodbear. We'll also make some bear-y nice crafts and play some bear-y exciting games. Ages 2-6 yrs.

The Conservancy of Southwest Florida will present an interactive program where students will create aquatic habitats, determine which animals should live there and even learn how to measure salinity. Grades 2 through 5.

Celebrate Mom. Make a gift and a card for Mother’s Day. Ages 4 years and older.
