Dig Into Reading - ages birth through 5 years

Tuesday, October 1 – Thursday, November 21

Pick up a game board and do the activities with your child. Bring the game board back to the Children’s Desk at the branch where you signed up. You will be given stickers to mark your child’s progress. Complete 17 of the 20 activities, and you will be allowed to select a free book for your child! You may participate twice.

Viva Florida: Calusa Indians - grades 1 through 5
Monday, September 23, 6-6:45 p.m.
Explore the lost world of the Calusa Indians with an Everglades National Park ranger. Learn how Southwest Florida's first people survived and lived off the bounty that the land provides. Discover the tools and weapons of the Calusa Indians and create a Calusa craft.

LEGO® Club -
ages 5-11 years. Registration is not required.
2nd Wednesday of every month, 4-5:30 p.m.
Share ideas, be creative, make new friends and have fun! LEGO® bricks will be provided or donate LEGO® bricks your child no longer uses. Your LEGO® creation will be put on display at the library.

This interactive comedy-magic show gets everyone involved. The Professor’s specialty is making it look as if the magic is happening in the hands of the helpers he calls to the stage.

Baby Yoga
- ages 1-12 months

Presented by Simona Alladio, certified yoga instructor.
Bring a yoga mat, a small toy and a rested baby to enjoy this gentle exercise program for our youngest ones. Please plan to arrive around 10:15 to get settled in the room.   Registration required on the first Monday of the month in which the program is offered.

*Manatee Marvels
- grades K through 5
Monday, September 23, 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Join a naturalist from Rookery Bay Reserve to learn about an endangered species in our Florida waters: the Manatee! Get close to some manatee artifacts and learn what makes these mammals so unique.

Viva Florida Fiesta!
- grades K through 4
Monday, September 30, 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Get a taste of the culture and food that people from Central and South America have brought with them to the United States.

Pups 'n' Books
