How to log in to My Account
If you have a current library card, you automatically have an account. To log in to your account,
Staying logged in while searching the catalog
To avoid logging in multiple times to request items, log in first and then do all searches from within your account by using the search button on the My Account page. Also, use the browser back button to get around the catalog, that way staying within your account all the time. You can then request multiple items without relogging into your account.

| View checked-out items Click the Checked-out Items button. (NOTE: If the button does not appear, you do not have any items checked out.) You will see a list of the titles you have checked out, when the items are due back to the library, and whether they can be renewed. Click Sort By Due Date to arrange item according to which item is due soonest. |

| Renew items You may renew items if 1) the item does not exceed the renewal limit; 2) no other patron has requested the item, and 3) the item displays a Request button. To renew an item, click the Checked Out Items button. A list will appear with the items you have checked out.Under the Renew column, check the box next to the title(s) you'd like to renew and click on the Renew Selected Items button. If you'd like renew all of your items, click on the Renew All button at the top of your list. |

Request Items To reserve items, you do not have to log in first. Search the catalog and identify the item you want to request. Click the Request button. The system will display the log-in form to complete your request. However, to reserve multiple items without re-entering your name and library card number, you must log in first. Once logged in, search the catalog and identify the item(s) you want to request. Click the
Request button for each item. Use the Back button on your browser to stay within your account.
You will be prompted to select a pick-up location. You may change the default pick-up location by using the drop down menu. You can
change this location up to when the item is put "In transit."
You will also be prompted to select a date after which you do not need the item. If you have no particular date in mind, ignore the date (the default is six months).
You can cancel or remove items from your Request list by clicking the check box next to each title you would like to remove. Then
click the Update List button at the top. You can cancel or remove all of your requests by clicking the Cancel All button.
The Freeze option at the right of your Request List display is enabled when there are other holds on the item you have requested. If
you anticipate being unavailable to check out your request when it becomes available (on vacation, out of town, etc.) click the Freeze checkmark box and
your place in the hold queue will be reserved until you uncheck the box. At that time, your request will be re-enabled.

| Fines and Bills If you have fines and bills, the Fines and Bills button will appear in your account. Click the button to display the list. Each item will include specific information such as author and title, amount of fine, and reason for fine. NOTE: If the button does not appear, you do not have any fines. |

| Pay Online If you have fines and bills totaling $10.00 or more, the Pay Online button will appear in your account as an option for making a payment. Click the button if you would like to use your credit card to pay for some or all fines and bills. View our procedures before you begin. NOTE: If the button does not appear, you do not have fines totaling $10.00. |

| Reading History You may choose to keep a list of titles you have checked out in the past. You may remove some or all of the titles on your list and you may stop the service at any time. To protect your privacy this service is optional. NOTE:Once titles have been deleted from your reading history, they cannot be retrieved. |

| Preferred Searches Preferred Searches allows you to save a catalog search for an author or subject and to search again in future visits or be notified by e-mail when a new item matching your search has been added to the collection. To receive e-mail notification you must modify your personal information and select email as your preferred method of notification. Otherwise, the system will no be able to notify you. (See Modify Personal Info below.) To save preferred searches, log in and search the catalog by author or subject. Additionally, you can perform an Advanced Search
and add further delimiters to your search, such as by type of material or by branch location. When you are on the page with the search results,
click the "Save as Preferred Search" button above the search results list. You can also perform a search by click the "Search" link at the right of the search. |

| Modify Personal Information Click this button to change your method of notification concerning requests, preferred searches, and overdue items. The options are postal mail, telephone, and e-mail. The Library strongly encourages you to use e-mail to receive notices. You cannot use the preferred searches feature without using e-mail as your preferred method of notification. |

| View Messages Occasionally, the library will enter a message on your account to alert you to information specific to you, such as a personal item you left in the library. These will not be general messages like library hours or your fines or overdues but directly input by staff for your alert. You will see a message alert among the buttons in the form of an exclamation point. Click the link to view the message. NOTE: If the button does not appear, you do not have any messages. |

Export or e-mail Saved Records You can export or e-mail full or brief versions of bibliographical records from the catalog. Click the Save Record button next to the item you wish to save. Alternatively, click the "Save All on Page" button at the top of the display. When you are finished saving, click the View Saved button at the top of the page. On the left side of the Saved Records list, choose the format for your list. On the right side, choose e-mail (with Subject field), screen (to display on your monitor for printing), or Local disk to save as a file to your computer. |
