COLLECTION
The Genealogy Collection, located in the Naples Branch, is a non-circulating reference collection of basic and intermediate resources, including books, periodicals, electronic resources, and a web-based subscription database.

AUDIENCE
The collection serves patrons interested in genealogical research of a basic introductory level as well as those prepared for a next level of familiarity. Reference help is available from experienced and dedicated volunteers. Please check their schedule in the Genealogy Room.

COLLECTION POLICY
The collection policy defines materials to be acquired, such as introductory and historical overviews, including acceptable donations. Because of the nature of the collection, specialized family histories, detailed regional records, etc. are not collected.

DATABASES

HeritageQuest Online offers the complete U.S. census, 25,000 books of family histories and local histories, plus genealogical periodicals, and documentary images for the fifty states, Canada, and the British isles. A total of over 7.5 million pages of fully indexed data.

Ancestry Library Edition includes 3,000 databases of genealogical information. Available in the library only; not available remotely.

WorldCat searches the world's library catalogs for books, historic newspapers, church histories, wills, manuscripts, maps, and other documents of importance to genealogy research.
