4. Employment opportunities

All employment openings in the Library are announced on the Collier County Government's jobs page: http://colliergov.net/jobs. Position title, employment type, salary, and closing date for applying are indicated. Due to the high volume of applications received when positions are announced, closing dates may be advanced without notice.

To apply for an announced position, please complete the online application on the website. You can also request email notification of posted positions for up to 12 months by completing a job interest "card" at the website.

5. Volunteer opportunities

Volunteers 14 years of age and older share their time, talents, and expertise as valued members of an enthusiastic team within the Collier County Public Library system.

Some offer specialized skills in book repair, genealogy reference, or literacy tutoring (though no experience is required to become a tutor. We train you!). Many help with shelving of materials and shelf maintenance at a library convenient to their home. Many younger volunteers perform community service required for scholarship opportunities.

Collier County Government requires all volunteers to complete an online application at http://www.colliergov.net/jobs. Look under Postions for "Volunteer - Library." Your application will be automatically forwarded to the Library's Volunteer Services Coordinator.

For additional information, contact the Volunteer Services Coordinator at (239) 593-0334 or the manager of the library location nearest you. To become a literacy volunteer at East Naples, Estates, Golden Gate, Immokalee, or Marco Island, call the Literacy Program Coordinator at (239) 774-6414.
